Texas honor student jailed for missing too much school

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, TX (CBS ATLANTA) - An honor student in Texas was thrown in jail after she missed too many classes at her high school.

A judge issued Diane Tran, 17, a summons Wednesday for her excessive truancy after she missed class.

    I did read the text on the article–both video(s) taken down. I was confronted by the same issue when my daughter was in high school. They threatened me. It ticked me off so bad I jumped right in the Principal’s face.
    “I bring her to school. I watch her enter the building. AFTER she is in YOUR building, she is YOUR responsibility. Now! If you can’t take care of student’s once they are in your building, I am going to file a law suit against you!

    That was it…He never bothered me again about it.
