  1. Annie says:

    I’m not typing my whole reply again. Suffice it to say that you say, This is ANOTHER REASON WE NEED NEWT.” Well, we’re not going to get Newt. In most years, I use my litmus test and weigh where each candidate stands on the issues and Newt might get my vote. But, I see this election as waaaay too critical for the survival of the US to play around with sublties. We need to unite behind a candidate whom we feel has the opportunity to unseat Barack Obama. I’ll speak no more on this issues.

  2. upaces88 says:

    Romney on the 2nd Amendment:
    This is bits and pieces — go to the site to read it all, okay?
    He stated that his views did not line up with the NRA. After initiating his Presidential campaign in 2007, Governor Romney joined the NRA with a lifetime membership. He asserted in a taped speech that he supported second amendment rights for all legal purposes, including the common defense.
    This one paragraph concerns me (read all of it though):
    Governor Romney has been supportive of the second amendment in the general sense while campaigning for the Presidency in 2012, but continued to support an assault weapons ban in the 2008 elections. Since that time, he has stated that he does not believe that the nation wide assault weapons ban should be re-instituted.

    He does not address the issue on his 2012 campaign website.

  3. Annie says:

    I don’t know what Mitt Romney said about the NRA, I must have missed that day in school. My only commit was pretty self-explanatory about the 2 candidates (Newt and Mitt). I definitely would go as far as to agree with Newt that the humans have a right to bear ares in self-defense.

    • Annie says:

      Well, it appears we’re not going to have Newt. But, I still don’t see what I said about disagreeing with Newt; in fact I was in agreement that it is out basic human right, I just don’t know what your point is, unless you believe that Mitt Romney has flip-flopped one too many times.

      • upaces88 says:

        Annie, I nooo; it just feels like Romney is BEING SHOVED DOWN OUR THROATS. I don’t like that at all!

        • Annie says:

          Thing is, the American people are in the process of speaking and I’m thinking they feel that Mitt Romney can do more for this country and they feel that he has a better chance of defeating Barack Obama than Newt Gingrich does. I feel that he has a better chance of defeating Obama and out country CAN NOT AFFORD 4 more years of this sort of hope/change. (I’m really concerned for my future (forget my kids), hubby has been w/out for 15 months)

          So, if that makes me guilty of voting with my heart and not my head; guilty as charged, but I also think that Mitt Romney has fewer foibles than Newt-and I’ve been in Newt’s camp for 8 years.

          • upaces88 says:

            Annie, read above your head.
            This man will betray us. You can take that to the bank!

            • Annie says:

              I don’t happen to agree with you; what makes you feel that?

              • upaces88 says:

                Read above your head to the part:
                He states: “Islam is not inherently — never mind… I just re-read it and if you can’t see it, you never will.

                • Annie says:

                  I didn’t say I didn’t see it; but I feel strongly that Mitt Romney is not inherently evil and I see Newt as wanting to ‘go out’ ahead and go down and take the country with him. He’s going to split the vote; for him, there’s no doubt in my mind that he loves this country, but he has ego problems, big time ego problems. I know what you mean by the statement, but am offended that you said “if you can’t see it, you never will” That’s an insult to ANYONE’S intelligence. Enough

                  • upaces88 says:

                    Annie, no, he is not inherently…..however, he changes his mind depending upon the pressure. Example.. He stated he was “against the Dream Act” and during that same time period…he was running an ad in Spanish…does that sound like honesty to you?

                    • Annie says:

                      He’s not the first politician to change his mind depending on whim, polls, direction of wind and he sure as heck won’t be the last, My greater concern and I’m surprised that it’s no higher up on your list of priorities is WHAT WE DON’T NEED. You say we need 4 more years of Barack Obama. I feel differently. Honesty is being honest with yourself and I reached a point weeks ago that Newt Gingrich was not what this country needed.

                    • upaces88 says:

                      Might want to have your meds checked.

                    • Annie says:

                      That’s downright cruel, like telling a trisomy patient he’s a dork. Can you say, “ashamed?”
                      Btw, I responded and the site swallowed my post. But, after reading the above about meds, that’s hitting below the belt and mean-spirited.

                    • Annie says:

                      Your passion for Newt Gingrich is admirable but the liberals are winning when they pit conservative against conservative; its called divide and conquer

  4. Annie says:

    I used to think that Newt was the one and the only one who could challenge or prevail. But now, I’m with the “whatever it takes, we MUST have Obama out of office.” In spite of Newt’s superior knowledge of history and the Consitution, and the fact that I think he could mop the floor with Obama in debates; I think Mitt Romney would make the better President BY FAR and about 2 months ago, Ii changed my mind that I’m for Mitt.

    • upaces88 says:

      He is referred to as Decent? Would you call anyone decent who lies about the Dream Act just to get votes?
      Yes, he states he is AGAINST the Dream Act while running an Ad in Spanish:

      Do you remember the raid in Texas years ago where the house was burned to the ground?
      Mormons were living there with multiple wives and children.
      Romney also states he would have voted for the NDAA;
      Romney states “…only talk about re-distribution of wealth behind closed doors”;
      Romney states he is like Obama.
      George Soros states Romney is like Obama.
      Both the WH and Soros approve of Romney running for President — why not! He is just like Obama;
      Romney committed a Federal Crime through wire fraud by wiring Millions of his $$ to the Cayman Islands as well as accepting foreign $$ for campaigns.
      Romney was part of the Medicare fraud;
      Romney’s Mormon religion — Founder, Joseph Smith says he wants to be the 2nd Mohamed.
      Video: Romney exploits American Business with Foreign $$;
      Romney “claimed” he created Thousands and thousands of jobs and refused to prove it;
      Romney states (I believe it was 2008) that he thought we needed Healthcare like Hezabola;
      Romney made the same mistake Cain did by stating, “Islam not inherently violent.”
      While Mormons teach against Alcohol, drugs, prostitution and gambling…they own a casino in Las Vegas
      Admits his only connection to GOP is he is a registered Repubican.

      • Annie says:

        “Mormons were living there with multiple wives and children. ” So, guilt by association? I know more Mormons who do MORE good than you can shake a stick at.

        “Romney states he is like Obama. ” how? Romney STATES?________________

        “George Soros states Romney is like Obama. Both the WH and Soros approve of Romney running for President ” This is liberal speak for we don’t want you to vote for Romey, we’d rather you vote for Newt: whom we’ll beat in a landslide.

        “Romney was part of the Medicare fraud” What did he do to defraud Medicare?

        “Would you call anyone decent who lies about the Dream Act just to get votes?” Broken link so I can’t read what he said. I don’t use the word ‘lie’ lightly. Specifics? How did he lie?

        Anyway, its moot as far as I’m concerned, Not because Romney has the nomination sewed up,, but because liberals WANT us to argue, Divide the vote and I will be no more part of it. I’m looking at what I feel what will be best for the country and FOUR MORE YEARS OF BARACK OBAMA IS POISON. Fiscally, we can’t afford him and his ilk. He showed his true colors in that famed off mic moment.

        • upaces88 says:

          I gave you the “article to research” for yourself. I am not going to research AGAIN for you. IF you really want to know…Google it.
          I have also nice Mormons…so what! He goes back and forth according to the audience he is speaking to.
          I am not going to waste my time proving or disproving anything. You have a brain — figure it out for yourself.

          • Annie says:

            I can do my own research and I do have my own knowledge base. But, I refuse to succumb to the divide and conquer tactics. I’m looking out for the global issues and in the long run, Newt, although good, is not going to be our nominee. So why, should I get my undies in a bundle?

  5. Annie says:

    You could also say, “Support Your Right to Arm Bears!” I agree with this sentiment of the NRA.

    • upaces88 says:

      Please expand on your thoughts, Annie. They haven’t seemed to have been too visible lately when Hillary agreed with the UN about OUR guns.I don’t think the NRA is paranoid — Paranoia is fearing something that has NEVER happened.
      This has happened all over the world and the people were enslaved.\

    • upaces88 says:

      Annie, Romney stated: “Islam is NOT inherently violent. We already have them in the WH — the Muslim Brotherhood instructs Obama what to say and not say.

      Video: Newt Gingrich — Ban Sharia Law in the U.S. = full explanation

  6. upaces88 says:

    The NRA has been too timid. That is exactly what I feared about Romney…. to take away the guns.
