I am a Minister’s kid and Grand-kid. The truth? What we need is more Christians to be “Christ-Centered; and NOT just go to church and forget it during the week.
I have friends…No, let me re-phrase that. I HAD friends in Ft. Worth I grew up with. Both grew up to be Directors of two different school districts in Ft. Worth. They also are BOTH deacons in the Asbury Methodist Church in Ft. Worth
I left to move to Dallas. However, I did attend the class reunion. After we talked about what is going on in our country. They didn’t take me too seriously. After a great deal of talking, they finally contacted me because they were “concerned.” yes, that is the word they used…”Concerned.”
I asked them to please please Pray for Our Country. Our political system has a poison in it; and we are in deep trouble.
The answer?
We don’t get involved in politics. From what I have been seeing for years? We have many many great “Bible Pounders” but NOT true “Christ-Centered” People.
Now, I do understand that this is just ONE Person’s experience. However, I will try to get back over here 2morrow (if my stupid computer will let me) to talk more.
I have a REAL bone to pick with those who go to church and yet HAVE NO IDEA what it means to be Christ-Centered in this world today.
