Sweet Mama Dog Interacting with a Beautiful Child with Down Syndrome

Those of us with kinfolk and children with Special Needs, will fully understand the empathy of the interplay here, of the dog and the Child.
As one of the comments on the site said, “Animals are kinder than most humans”, and what a truthful but sad indictment of humanity, who are Created in the Image of God, though formed of the dust of the Earth.
Enjoy the Beauty

My Best Friend has two Labs and I totally agree that Labs don’t have a “Bad Bone” in their whole body…. They are Lovers, not warriors..

They are big balls of fur and love Personified. They get “actual EXPRESSIONS” on their little faces…like they are really listening to you as you ramble on and on about your day; AND, they never send you the bill for counseling and love!
      I love those babies!

I volunteered at a Rescue Lab Shelter. People don’t think ahead when they buy a pet for their child that the PET Must be trained NOT TO JUMP ON CHILDREN. They don’t do it to be mean… they just want to Love You!.
Anyway, I contacted several police departments who had canine units to take the dogs as the grown moms had puppies to train. They did tell me they were GREAT dogs to be around children with a wonderful reputation, but, and this is a quote: “We cannot teach them to be aggressive like we can German Sheperds and Rottie(s)”. They just don’t have it in them.

Dogs are the ULTIMATE AMBASSADORS OF LOVE… If people would only LOVE THEM AS THEY LOVE US. It would be such a Greater World….

Labs are very sweet dogs. They love children. The down side of a lab is he/she doesn’t know how big they are and will jump up to hug a child knocking them down. Of course, then the lab will lick the child from top to bottom as an apology. They ARE probably the MOST loving dogs EVER.
