Only a few steps away from the Verona City Hall, this incident occurred: a mentally handicapped Italian was pushed, kicked and beaten by a group of young North Africans.While passers-by sitting on the steps just watched the goings-on and did not interfere, an Italian courageously intervened, perhaps preventing worse from being done.
